A community grief support program associated with Hospice of the Chesapeake offering in-person and virtual support for anyone grieving a death — not limited to hospice clients. Groups vary from drop-in to facilitated multi-week sessions for adults, youths, and specialized populations (e.g., LGBTQIA+).

Free grief support program through the county’s Aging & Disabilities department. Offers a safe space to share and connect with others experiencing loss of spouses, family, friends, or other significant relationships.

GriefShare – Multiple Hosts in Anne Arundel County

A long-running, structured support group series that combines weekly video sessions and group discussion to help people navigate grief in community. Many local churches and organizations host GriefShare groups — check the site for updated schedules and times.

Center for Infant & Child Loss (CICL)

A long-standing Maryland resource affiliated with the University of Maryland system, CICL provides information, education, and referral services for families coping with infant or child death. While not primarily a support-group provider, it connects families to grief services statewide.

211 Maryland is a free, confidential statewide helpline that connects callers with local services based on their geographic area and needs. They can identify grief support groups, bereavement counseling, and related mental health resources anywhere in Maryland.

Maryland Department of Health – Behavioral Health Administration (Grief & Loss Resources)

The Maryland Department of Health’s Behavioral Health Administration provides statewide informational resources about grief and loss. While not a direct support group provider, they list categories of support (clinical, peer-based, spiritual) and guide Maryland residents toward appropriate services based on their needs.
